Frontpoint Video Doorbell Camera Review

Although Frontpoint does not manufacture their own video doorbell, we did examine the SkyBell Slim Line Video Doorbell, which is compatible with their system and recommend for use by Frontpoint Home Security. We were delighted to discover that the Slim Line is completely wireless, which is unusual for a video doorbell and has a very long battery life (three to five years). It also has a temperature range of -40 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, which was sufficient for our test.

The Frontpoint video doorbell camera is a wireless doorbell camera that can detect motion within an 8-foot range. It has a wide-angle lens and will send notifications to your phone. There are two ways of setting up this device: either through an app or manually by plugging it into the power outlet and connecting it wirelessly.

The Frontpoint Video Doorbell Camera is a wireless doorbell camera that allows you to receive notifications on your phone when someone rings the bell. It’s perfect for homes, apartments, and small businesses.

This video doorbell camera system has very high-quality video and night vision capabilities, which makes it easy to see who is at the door even when it’s dark outside. The battery life also lasts up to 3 months without needing recharging; this means there will be no interruption in service.

Overall, We love this video doorbell camera system. It’s easy to install and use, which makes it a perfect option for those with busy schedules who want to keep an eye on their home or business without spending too much time monitoring the camera.

Frontpoint is a company that offers a free doorbell camera with WiFi and motion sensors when you purchase the full Frontpoint Security System. The camera has HD quality video, night vision capabilities, and it works around the clock.

Additionally, Frontpoint’s surveillance system also includes two-way audio communication which allows you to hear who is at your door before they get there.

Sadly, the Slim Line did not leave us as impressed as we would have hoped. We were, however, relieved that the range of vision was as wide as was mathematically conceivable at 180 degrees.

Another disadvantage of the Slim Line was its lack of night vision. Because of the camera’s brilliant white light, our night vision was in color. While this generated a good image, we prefer cameras with infrared night vision since it is less noticeable.

Storage forced us to set up a membership on, which was a bit inconvenient; we’d much prefer to handle everything through the Frontpoint app (again, we’re lazy!). Nonetheless, we received 1,000 motion-activated clips every month.

Now, because the Slim Line lacked any form of human detection, many of these clips (and, by extension, warnings) were superfluous for keeping our home secure. Furthermore, the Slim Line lacks a micro-SD card port, so we had to manually back up our cloud data to a local hard drive. An extra 5,000 clips cost $5 per month, which we declined.

Overall, we’re not thrilled with the Slim Line Video Doorbell but given since it’s included free with every security plan, we may prefer it over not having a video doorbell at all.

The bottom line: With its affordable price tag and great features such as its night vision capabilities, this product provides value for money.

Is Frontpoint security available in Canada?

Frontpoint is a brand of home security systems. It is available both in Canada, US and Uk. In fact, it is one of the best home security systems in Canada and their product can withstand the Canadian cold temperatures.

It competes with SimpliSafe and Abode, two other well-known brands in the same realm. Frontpoint Home Security System offers cameras, motion sensors, and keychain remotes to help you monitor your property from anywhere as long as you have internet service. They also offer monitored 24/7 professional monitoring for those who need it!

Compared to other security cameras from security providers and IT businesses alike, Frontpoint security cameras have a rather ordinary set of benefits. However, the price is reasonable given the high level of video quality you receive.

Frontpoint, on the other hand, requires a costly monitoring plan (approximately $49.99 per month) in order for these cameras to operate, which reduces the advantages of cheaper equipment expenses.
