Limited Time – Avotec, Inc. Silent Scan Trade-In Offer

Avotec, Inc. announces a trade – in program on the older-style Silent Scan Model SS-2000 Clinical Audio System or earlier versions for a new Silent Scan Model SS-3000 Clinical Audio System. The new Silent Scan Model SS-3000 has significant changes from the older Model SS-2000:

1. All three analog audio inputs are two channel stereo.
2. Audio input connections are located at the rear of the Silent Scan and accept ¼” stereo phono jacks from the audio input source to the Console.
3. Bar graphs, set for 3 dB per bar, on the front of the Console indicate the sound level.
4. The Push To Talk (PTT) switch automatically returns to audio input when the operator releases the switch.
5. The operator microphone is removable for transport.

 For a limited time, Avotec will accept orders for the Silent Scan Model SS-3000 which must specify that an older style Avotec System will be returned to Avotec once the new System is received. The price for a trade –in Silent Scan will be US$4,000, a discount of US$3,500 from List Price. The new Audio System will be invoiced at List Price of $7,500. When Silent Scan Model SS-2000 Console or Transducer is returned to Avotec to remove that unit from service, your account will be credited with the trade – in allowance. 

Avotec, Inc. will also accept trade-ins on the Silent Scan Model SS-2100 Research Audio Systems or earlier versions for a new Silent Scan Model SS-3100 Research Audio System. The new Silent Scan Model SS-3100 has significant changes from the older Model SS-2100:

1. All three analog audio inputs are two channel stereo.
2. Audio input connections are located at the rear of the Silent Scan and accept ¼” phono jacks from the audio input source to the Console.
3. Digital inputs include electrical (SP/DIF) and optical (TOSLINK) which support 96 kHz IEC 958 format CD quality audio. The audio for digital input is fixed gain, which is calibrated at the factory.
4. Bar graphs, set for 3 dB per bar, on the front of the Console indicate the sound level.
5. The Push To Talk (PTT) switch automatically returns to audio input when the operator releases the switch.
6. The operator microphone is removable for transport.
7. The SS-3100 has a Mode Switch on the front top of the Console. This allows the operator to select the Mode matched to the experiment
1. Clinical Mode – any of the audio inputs can be selected and the patient volume is used to set the audio level to the patient.
2. Functional Mode – analog input gain is fixed and is not adjustable.
3. Functional X 10 Mode – analog inputs only are given a times 10 gain to allow the use of lower level audio sources.
4. Test Mode – a 1 kHz test signal is created in the Console and can be used to verify operation of the audio system downstream of the Console (Transducer and Headset).
